Remote Connections
By Natalia González Acosta
How do people establish connections when the majority of the population has been asked to stay home? This series of portraits takes a glimpse into the online dating scene during the COVID-19 pandemic in London, UK.
Remote Connections is an all-digital project responding to the significant increase of dating apps usage despite the expected decline due to the pandemic1. At the same time, the project explores the possibilities of online communication technologies since all collaborators were recruited on dating apps, and similarly, all portraits were created remotely through a photography app.
A special thank you to all collaborators.
